Who Is She?
Hi, I’m Valerie Marie— an actress, writer, and storyteller with a deep love for characters who reflect the beautifully messy reality of life.
My acting journey began at age seven with a wildly unexpected mall encounter when a woman came up to me and asked the question every kid dreams of: “Do you want to be on Disney Channel?” The opportunity turned out to be a scam, but the spark it lit was real — and it’s never gone out. With the support of my parents, I began training and never looked back. Since earning my BFA in Acting for Film from the New York Film Academy in 2020, I’ve spent every year building a career rooted in passion, persistence, and truth.
I’m most drawn to coming-of-age stories and strong, dynamic female leads — the kind who evolve, fall apart, find joy, and come back stronger. I love storytelling that’s cinematic, emotional, and grounded in honesty. At the same time, I have a deep affection for comedy: I grew up on shows like That 70’s Show and Friends, and I’ll never turn down a good rom-com or anything starring Melissa McCarthy.
Recently, I wrote and shot a proof of concept about two women navigating the monotony and quiet hope of their twenties. It was my first time creating something from the ground up — and it was thrilling. I realized I don’t want to wait around for someone to hand me an opportunity. If it’s not knocking, I’ll build the door.
When I’m not on set or writing, I’m soaking up stories — anything that helps me understand people more deeply and bring more truth to my work. I’d describe myself as creatively-driven, passionate, and infectiously optimistic. I love collaborating with others who are equally hungry to create something that moves people.
At the end of the day, I hope my work helps others feel seen. I want people to find a piece of themselves in the characters I bring to life — because that’s the kind of storytelling that stays with you.
There’s no Plan B here. I’m all in.

I do it all for her; Honoring her dream one audition at a time.
